OK gang since no one got an answer to either of the trivia questions from the day before or yesterday. I guess I'll have to supply you all with the answers.
Trivia question 1) The flap on the back of a sailors jumper was designed for the purpose of fighting fires aboard ship, you pulled it up and placed a protion of it under your hat which was turned upside down and together made a perfect cover to provide protection of the top of the head and the back of the neck while fighting fires.
Trivia question 2) The buttons on a sailors bellbottom trousers are thirteen in all and represent the 13 original colonies of this great country of ours.
